After the announcement of the Indian cricket team for the upcoming t20world cup now the Indian Premier League is also over, and Kolkata has become the champion Yes, you have heard correctly, Kolkata Knight Riders are the champions of Indian Premier League 2024.  With this, they became champions of the IPL three times.  They showed excellent batting and bowling performance throughout the season and lifted the champions trophy as deserving champions.  Now the most talked about thing, at least for cricket lovers is the upcoming T20 World Cup. Most of the players of our Indian cricket team have already reached the USA because this year’s World Cup will be played in the USA and West Indies.

Indian cricket team selection:

But one thing that every Indian and cricket lover from different parts of the world is thinking about is that the two teams that played in the final did not have a single player in the selected 15 for India for the upcoming t20worldcup. Yes, KKR’s Rinku Singh is there as a reserved but not in the first 15. Now the question is why the BCCI‘s selection committee and captain Rohit Sharma have not shortlisted the players who have played in the IPL finals.

If we take a closer look at the Mumbai Indians team, there are four players who are selected in the Indian team such as Captain Rohit Sharma, Surya Kumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit  Bumrah, but they were ranked 10th in the IPL rankings this year. Rishav Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dube, Akshar Patel and Sanju Samsung have been selected in the first 15 but they are also not from the first two teams of the IPL. Meanwhile, as BCCI feels that the Indian Premier League is a very important stage to survive the T20 World Cup, then why is no player selected from the two teams that played the finals and played brilliantly throughout the whole season?

The young players with amazing form and talent:

A young player in such good form like Abhishek Sharma might deserve a chance but he was not given a chance either.  A finisher as good as Rinku Singh is not selected in the first 15 though taking him as a reserved player, it’s a pity for every Indian who wants to watch some young players. If the first 11 were selected based on talent and performance then Rinku Singh should have been there and Abhishek Sharma should have been there but it was not.  Harshit Rana bowled very well even Indian cricket legend Yuvraj Singh said Harjit Rana should get a chance.  Harshid Rana should have been given a chance to replace Mohammad Siraj, at least in our opinion.

some selected players with poor form:

If you notice how Shivam Dube’s performance starts to deteriorate from the very next match after the Indian team announced their first 15 players.  The run was not the same and he got out twice for zero.  Jadeja’s batting this time was not that impressive, I couldn’t take notice of Hardik Pandya and what can I say, he failed in both batting and bowling. Apart from playing, he is also facing various difficulties in his personal life, so even in this situation BCCI has given him a chance. I hope Hardik Pandya can solve these problems and play the World Cup at his own pace.

conclusion:

But still, every Indian wants to win the World Cup and they hope every player plays well to win the hearts of Indian cricket fans and return to India after winning the cup. we all know that the Indian cricket team has a very strong fanbase all over the world, especially in India. As a cricketing fan, we would also like to watch India play well and give an amazing performance as they are the current no.1 ranked t20 team in the ICC ranking.
