As per the latest news, an earthquake of magnitude 6.5 hit Canada at Vancouver Island on Thursday and as per the United States Geological Survey, the earthquake happened near Tofino at Vancouver Island The quake struck at a depth of 8 km (4.97 miles).

As we can have the latest update there is no news of a Tsunami warning for Vancouver Island or British Columbia.

Last week we had some news regarding an earthquake near this specific area. Vancouver Island got 5 back-to-back earthquakes it can be a message for something bigger like a Tsunami on the Canadian Island. But the chance of a Tsunami was called off after the assessment from the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. So that was good news after all those 5 back to back earthquakes.

As we got some data from the United States geological survey near Tofino Island the first earthquake of 4.4 magnitude happened at 12:59 p.m. and then after 19 minutes, another 4.7 magnitude earthquake was recorded on the Richter scale.
Another 4.5 magnitude of earthquake was recorded in the area at 1.21 p.m. followed by a 4.3 earthquake at 1.23 p.m.
